Philanthropy
Tri Delta's chosen philanthropy is Children's Cancer Charities. In conjunction with this, Tri Delta has created a partnerships with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In September 2002, Tri Delta agreed to a four-year $1 Million donation for the hospital's Teen Room, which was completed in January 2005. Tri Delta members raised more than $1 Million for St. Jude between July 2005 and June 2006. Tri Delta is one fo the only Greek organizations in the country to reach a goal of $1 Million in one year for their philanthropic partner. In July 2006, Tri Delta agreed to a commitment of $7.5 million over a period of five to seven years. The money raised during 2005-06 school year, along with more than $500,000 over the previous endowment, will count towards this donation. So far, Tri Delta members have raised over $1.5 million towards this donation. So far, Tri Delta members have raised over $1.5 million towards this new gift opportunity. Along with this gift, Tri Delta will name the Patient Care Floor in the new Chili's Care Center at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Individual chapters each hold a special event to raise money for St. Jude. The Beta Theta chapter annually hold "Frats at Bat" every spring. The softball competition between the fraternities at Clemson draws people in to enjoy hours of softball, food, fun, and music. The Beta Theta chapter has also chosen to locally support the Greenville Pediatric Hermatology-Oncology Hospital.
Each Spring, Tri Delta raises money on Clemson's campus by hosting Frats at Bat, a baseball tournament among all fraternities on campus.  This past spring Tri Delta raised over $33,000.
This summer, two of our own Beta Thetas went to Memphis to participate in the St. Jude convention.  They were able to tour the facility and visit with patients.  Philanthropy is a central focus to the members of the Beta Theta Chapter of Tri Delta.

Academics
Academics are a top priority to the sisters of Beta Theta. Our academic development program offers guidance and growth to each and every sister, whether she has a 4.0 or is below bylaws. To accomplish our objective, Beta Theta sets a chapter GPR goal of 3.40. Our chapter members are encouraged to attend weekly study halls. Chapter members are active in over 15 academic honorary fraternities as well. We remain extremely strong and competitive when academic are involved. Beta Theta is proud of each member's academic accomplishments.

Recent Involvement

This fall, on Tuesday, September 16, TriDelta will host a seminar titled "Kristin's Story: A Mother's Account of Acquaintance Rape and Depression" told by Andrea Cooper.  The presentation will begin at 7pm in Tillman Hall on Clemson's campus.  TriDelta is excited to present a pro-active, co-educational rape program.  We hope that the seminar will raise awareness about similar situations on Clemson's campus.  For more information, please visit
